Zombie Adventures

I have always been a sleep walker, talker, and Mindy will tell you, dancer. My mom used to find me in random places all around the house in the middle of the night. Well unfortunately nothing has changed!
I have a retainer I wear at night and I have the hardest time keeping it in my mouth. I have found it in drawers, under my bed, in my bed, and the other night I found it in my shower!! I need help! I did this with earrings too! I usually take my earrings out at night, but about 3 weeks ago I forgot. I found one in my retainer case, and one in my dresser! One time my friend Maci called me early in the morning to ask me something, and I didn't even know she called until the next day when she told me that she had called. I don't remember anything from that call! Or that it even happened!
I bring all this up because last night I vaguely remember getting up to go to the bathroom, going to sit on the toilet and hitting something hard. I woke up sometime later and found myself asleep against the wall next to my toilet. I was way confused. I went to the bathroom, got up, (seriously) ran into a wall, and went back to sleep. I think what happened was that I went to sit on the toilet and I missed and sat on the floor, just plopped, because now my butt hurts! I think I might be one of the deepest sleepers I know!
This morning Sherrie called me and woke me up, and I could not think at all. I felt like I had a hang over, which is an every morning occurrence for me! She hung up after telling me I was mumbling too much, something Rich complains about every time he has to talk to me when I am sleepy. I have just come to the conclusion that I am a zombie when I am tired so please never tell me anything important! Oh and ward members, if you ever find me wandering around the neighborhood at night, I am probably asleep and if you would direct me home that would be great!

Laguna Beach!

A few months ago Rich and I decided to go to California with some of my sisters. We planned everything and we just got back early this morning! We had so much fun!! We went to Disneyland, and as Rich says "California Adventure Parks" (Cutie) But that's not even the best part!! Laguna Beach was the best!!
Claire, the kids and Rich and I went to Laguna Beach Sunday night. For those of you who haven't heard of it, it's a beautiful beach in Southern California, where my mom grew up. It's strange because even though I never lived there, it feels more like home to me than Utah. So going there was very exciting, and I was really excited to show Rich! I can't even describe how the night looked! We didn't get there until about 6 and it was between sunset and darkness. Rich and I went for a little walk, after playing in the water a little with the kids. I took him over by Bird Rock, and we found this patch of sand. I told him about him everything I loved about Laguna, and He knelt down on one knee and............ I said yes and.......... WE ARE ENGAGED!
We came back to Laguna yesterday and you couldn't even see the place where he proposed because the tide was up, but I kinda like it that way, because you have to be there around the time he proposed to see it.
These pictures look cropped... I swear it really happened!I also might add, these haven't been edited yet. Be nice.

Mom's Classy Ears

For years and years my sisters and I have been badgering my mom on and off about getting her ears pierced! Well last week I was up really late with my mom (she was helping me study) and she randomly tells me she wants to get her ears pierced! So being the pushy person that I am made plans to do it on Saturday, (22nd) so she couldn't change her mind! She was sooo nervous! Cute mom.... she had two people do it so she wouldn't have to go through it twice! Her ears have been described as classy, elegant, and cute since she's had them done!

Richard

I have been blessed that my boyfriend and my very best friend have been the same person for a long time! Rich spoils me and makes sure I get the very best :) He also is willing to drop everything and help me study for my oh so boring bio test!
I came out to my car after my late shift at work last night and found these beauties! Rich is so good to show appreciation for me! Not that I needed them, but it is nice to know that I am loved! Thanks for all that you do babe! LOVE YOU!

Motherhood, Den Motherhood That is!

Today Andi and I had the opportunity to go to POW WOW! We went to a high school and were trained to be leaders. We had SO MUCH FUN! I have always been excited about my calling, although at times it seems overwhelming, but today made me even more excited! Basically you just go around to different classes and they teach you what you can do with the boys! We really loved it! I had so much fun with Andi and then getting to know Laura and Jennifer! It was a blast, and I am so grateful for my calling! I have to say thanks to Andi, she is honestly one of the best people I have ever met, and she is so willing to help, even with non related scout stuff! She is great example and pretty much wonderful all together! THANK YOU ANDI! These are some pictures from today and last weeks den meeting! Andi and I had a sleep over last night (it was exhilarating, haven't had one of those with a friend in a really long time!), and this morning we woke up to Margaret making breakfast for us! Thanks! (andi pass it along would ya!)
BTW thanks A for letting me steal all your pics!

A Home For Gracie

So as many of you know, when Rich and I graduated I gave him a puppy for graduation. Well we have found an apartment for Rich, and for me at some point, but no animals are allowed! We have had to really think and pray about what we are going to do, and we just can't turn this opportunity down. We are looking for a family to give Gracie to.If you or anyone you know are interested please give us a call! We aren't planning on selling her we will just give her away. She is a very sweet 6 month old husky mix. She is way smart, and learns quickly, you just have to be consistent with teaching her, which hasn't been the case with us . She hasn't been completely potty trained, and we have been crate training her. However she has only had one accident in the house so she is on a good track. She has had all her shots, and is scheduled to be fixed in a couple weeks. We are very sad about our situation, but we have not been able to find any other alternatives. If you know of anyone looking for a puppy, like for christmas for example, please let us know! We can keep her until about January, however if we don't find her a home in the next 3 weeks we are going to take her to the Humane Society. Rich would rather he know the people she is going to live with so we are going with this option first. This is already a hard issue and we would like to resolve it quickly if possible. Thanks so much!

Movies in the Mountains!

This weekend we got to hang out with Colton and Cortney! I was so excited when Rich told me we were hanging out! We haven't got to really do much with all of us there since school started, so it was a very pleasant surprise. We left WJ about 8:45 and headed up to the mountains. We got a chance to talk and Cort and I got to sing our song! I don't know how long we drove but we found a good spot for a movie in the bed of Colts truck, and some weenie roasting. We had dinner and treats, planned by the boys, and some "beer". (because you know we are college students!)
After Colt put the fire out (wink, wink Cort!), we hopped in the back of the truck to watch a movie. To my horror, the movie was supposed to be a scary one! The movie made me jump, say a few swear words, and even had me contemplating walking home. It wasn't so much that the movie was so scary, but in the middle of the night, pitch black outside, and random campers yelling at us, I was pretty terrified! The movie got over at 12:30 and we left shortly after. Rich and I both fell asleep on the way home. :) It had been a really long day! Anyway I didn't get home till 2:00 am, and I had to do scouts early in the morning, so it was good I had a little snoozer!

We did a lot of other fun things too this weekend. Sherrie and James invited Rich and Me to go to Lagoon with them. We left about 1 and got there about 1:45. First we did what I like to call "old faithful" aka the white roller coaster. Emma (never had been to lagoon before this) said it was a little too fast for her, but after doing all the other roller coasters, she told us the white one was her favorite. :) I went on one by myself with her, and it was one that they could only let 2 people off at once. So she leans over to me and says "I hope that we get to get off last because then we can have a chance to talk". Haha She is 8 years old, and talks like she is 30! Our talk was very inspirational btw! ;) Probably the funniest part about this trip for me was when Rich, James and Emma went on a ride and Sherrie and I went to get treats. I apologize for this up front, but this was hilarious! Sherrie had bought some sour cherries, and had tucked them in her jacket. I was walking sorta behind her, and she dropped the cherries. I just sorta called to her, not wanting to say the obvious, when she yells, "Oh! Did I drop my cherries?!" We were surrounded by people and after she said it, she realized what she had said and just laughed! It was hilarious! We ended our part of the night with them, with Sherrie, Emma, Me, Rich and James, all singing "Lay All Your Love on Me" from Mamma Mia! It was so funny!

We took J-man to the pumpkin patch in the morning. Lol, that was a funny experience! He took us on a tour around the patch, (he had never been to that one) and refused to have his picture taken. He kept saying "Noooooo" similar to how a cow moo's. It was great!
I don't know how we managed to pack all of that into one day, but we had a great time with all parties involved!

Perspective....

Sunday started out like any other sunday, but during out meetings I found out some bad news about one of my best friends. (won't say who because not sure how she would feel about it) Her ex boyfriend (they broke up so he could go on his mish) had passed away in a car accident. I went over to her house, and tried my best to help her, but there was nothing I could really do. I have never felt so helpless. This morning I was talking to my good friend Maci, and we were discussing death. I think it's amazing that no matter how many times death touches your life, you never become immune to it. Last night it wasn't even my loved one who left us, but seeing my friend like that made yesterday one of the worst days of my life. It made me physically ill for her. She was so strong, and She kept apologizing for ruining my day. I told her this and I wholeheartedly believe it. I said that heavenly father sends us friends in life because we aren't meant to go at this test alone. Our best friend can be our Heavenly Father if we let him. I am so sorry for her loss, but if she could see how well she is handling it, she would be amazed. She never ceases to amaze me and I am so grateful to be a friend to someone I look up to so much! I think that it's so important to keep a good attitude through these trials. They can make or break us, and as hard as it is, we can use the opportunity to strengthen our testimonies.
Anyways, I don't often do posts this serious, but as hard as yesterday was, I wanted to make sure I learned from it.

Conference Weekend

We went over to Sherrie's house this weekend and slept over. Rich and I watched the first session of conference with them, and had breakfast with them, and then we headed home. We did a few things around the house, then finished the second session with my mom.
Every conference weekend, the guys go to the priesthood session and the girls hang out. Alisha and Katherine came and hung out with mom and me and then we headed to Claire's. We had some treats and played around a little and decided to call it a night! Mindy and I decided to have a sleepover, so she came home with us.
Sunday we were invited to go to Henning and Alisha's for breakfast, and we watched the first session with them. After the 1st session was over, we played with J-man and sang songs.
Tonight we had our monthly dinner at Kath's house. It was fun, we just sat and visited in front of her fire while the kids played. I wish I had though to get a picture, but I didn't think to. It was funny though because Rich started rubbing my back and it ended up that all the girls were having there backs rubbed by their spouse. All the guys gave Rich crap for starting it. I love conference weekends we always have a lot of fun with the fam!
Just a random story, a long time ago, like 10 years ago, I got a Ferbie. Then a couple years later, after months of not playing with it I threw it away. Well my mom rescued it and ever since she occasionally gets him out and she plays with him! Ha ha my mom is so funny. They had a few conversations tonight. Here is one of them:
Ferbie: Burp
Mom: I have never heard him do that before, what should I do?
Me: (Jokingly) Maybe you should burp him.
Mom: Oh, okay. (she starts burping him) Oh that feels good huh?
Ferbie: ZZzzz....

Castle of Chaos!

Our friends Lindsay and Devin, invited Rich and I to go to a haunted house with them this weekend. After changing our minds a couple times, we ended up going to "Castle of Chaos". It was way fun! They have three "events" you can chose from, and we decided to do all three. The first one was a 3-D haunted house, where even the actors had on 3-D make up. The second was Murder Mystery. On that one, you walk through rooms and try to find these cards to try and kill the Vampire Count. It was fun putting all of them together. Then the third was probably my favorite! It was another haunted house only it was different then any other one I have heard of before. They like lock you in a dark room and you touch the walls to try to find a door, and then someone screams, "Get on your knees!" So you have to crawl up this thing, and then you have to go threw this thing Devin called the Birth Canal. I have to other way to describe it other than that, it was crazy! I won't say anymore in case anyone ends up going to it, but it had lots of surprises! Then we went home and watched a scary movie. It was a fun night that got us in the mood for Halloween!

Cabin Fever

Rich and I went to my aunt Linda's cabin this weekend. It was kinda a last minute trip, but we had alot of fun! We planned on going for two nights, the first night at her house, and the second at the cabin. We had to leave SLC about 7, so it was pretty dark by the time we were going threw the canyon. We were between, Price and Castle Dale when we saw and almost hit 6 deer! They were just standing in the road, hanging out! Then a couple seconds after that we saw a group of about 15! Both of our stomachs dropped, and thank goodness we were almost there, because we drove so slow from there! Being in a small car, hitting a deer would have been bad news.

We chatted with Aunt Linda for a couple hours, and waited for my uncle Rick to be home from his poker night (usually home about 12). We went to bed about 12, and in the morning we found out that Rick had played till 2 am! Linda grounded him after that! ;)

We watched one of my cousin's son's play football, and shortly left for the cabin. It's about 30 minutes away, and by the time we got there I was dead tired, and I took a nap. I know I am lame! When I woke up Rich and I took a walk in the rain. Then we had dinner, ate WAY too much candy and watched a movie. Uncle Rick was tired and went to bed after the movie, wonder why? :) Linda stayed up and played KB with Rich and I. She hated it! It was so funny! She was just mad because I won! I went in the bathroom to get ready for bed, and when I came out aunt Linda was laying on her back on the ground. I asked her what she was doing, and she said, "ah just laying here." ha ha it ended up that she had tripped on one of the dog leashes, and she didn't want to get up. So she just chatted with us for awhile on the floor.

Today we taught Rich how to play Canasta. It was really fun. We lost track of time though and played from about 11 to 2. So we had to get going after that. We stopped in and chatted with my uncle Louis, and aunt Myra. Then it was like 5 by the time we left Price, so we really had to get going.

We had alot of fun hanging out with my dad's side of the family this weekend!

More Hiking

Yesterday Rich and I went hiking with one of my friends from work and her boyfriend, Lindsay, and Devin. We had planned on hiking Timp, but on the way to Devin's house they called and said that we had needed to get tickets earlier. So we decided to just go someplace kinda by Devin's house.
At first, there was a trail and uphill. It was harder than I expected, but not too bad. I thought, "I am in pretty good shape, I can handle it!" HA HA HA I could "handle" it, but it was really hard! After a little while, there was not even a trail. We hiked a few miles, my guess is about 5 of almost entirely steep up hill! I am really surprised now that I did it. I am kinda a whimp! We got to our turn around point and rested for a sec. (Standing up on a the side of the mountain. At least we were not moving!)
We turned around and then went the same way back... so steep DOWN hill hiking. We all slid a little down and Rich and Devin pretty much ran down, but Lindsay and I took it slow. When we got back to the car we had been gone almost 2 1/2 hours! It went by so fast! It was a lot of fun!

Busy Week....

This past week was..... interesting. School started for Rich and me. Rich is only taking one class so he wasn't as stressed as me I think. I was not looking forward to it at all. (I am taking 4 classes) Wednesday came around though, and it was great! I went to biology, and I am pretty sure I have a new hero! Her name is Kristen, and she is my professor. I have never met someone who I am so intrigued with! (that sounds weird, but she is fascinating!) I have to say I really have loved the college I have been exposed to. (yep the entire week of it!) I was expecting much worse, but all in all it was great!
Colette and I hung out a lot too this week, and Colette don't shoot me, but I can't even remember what we did except listen to Dr. Laura, at one point! (read on to find out why!) Oh and we had a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie party!
Okay so on to the craziness...
Rich was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth out on Friday. We were planning on having him rest on Friday, and then maybe going out to the lake for my work summer party Saturday. It did not happen. Rich went in for surgery, and when he woke up, Debbie and I went in to see him. He did not look very good. (It made me a little sick, which is weird because I am not very easily grossed out, especially in the oral heath field!) Well he wasn't feeling sick to his stomach or anything, so Dr. U signed him out and we put him in the wheel chair. Before he had even been sitting in the chair long, he passed out, and started throwing up blood. At first I was worried, but not freaking out. (mostly because it's not too uncommon, the passing out part I mean) Then Dr. U came in and was quite concerned about it. Saying he didn't know what was going on and that they needed to get a new IV in Rich. Then I really started getting worried. We sat him back down (awake by now) and he was given some really powerful drugs to keep him from throwing up anymore. Poor Rich. It broke my heart to see him this way. It took about 2 hours for him to get stable, and then we took him home. He was much more sick than I thought he would be, so I just stayed right next to him until like 10. Today he was doing much better, especially as the day progressed. But holy cow, did he scare me!!
Tonight we watched a movie with Matt and Jenna! It was fun to get to hang out with them, and to catch up! It seems like forever!! I can't remember the name of the movie, although Matt told me several times! It was good though! It's always fun to get together with your old high school buddies! :) I guess not that old... thanks Matt and Jen!

End Of Summer

This weekend Rich's family invited us to go boating with them to Flaming Gorge. We had to leave at like 7 on Friday night, so we didn't even get there until 10. It was a fun drive with Rich though. We got all settled, and went to bed. We all woke up to the sound of rain on the tent, and decided to go out on the lake anyways. So we loaded up all our warm clothes, blankets, and coats, and left camp. The water was actually pretty warm, but the air was freezing! Rich skied a bit (more like forever), and then I attempted to ski, again. I was much better than my last attempt, but my wrist that I had surgery on, like snapped so I stopped. Every one else was kinda bummed about the weather, but I have never been on a boat while its raining so I enjoyed it. Because of the weather Rich wanted to show me all the cool things to look at in the canyon, so we just drove around on the lake. (For those of you who haven't been here, it is the biggest lake I have ever seen in my life. It was huge!) Rich and I took a nap in the Cutty (not sure I spelt that right) but it's like the little cabin. Debbie came in at one point when we were sleeping and told us it was snowing! Then when we woke up it was warm and sunny. Talk about bipolar weather! We had a lot of fun though!

We said our "goodbye"s to Cort Thursday night. She is moving down to Provo, for school, so we decided to have a little fun. We went down first to Sherrie's to grab a kennel for Gracie. While we were there Emma made everyone name tags out of origami paper (mine was a frog), and gave Cortney and Colton "gifts". Ben put on the "gun show". :) He is such a cute kid! We left and went to a park to just play. After recess was over Rich and I grabbed some food from Taco Bell, and we went to Colton's. We didn't really want to say goodbye, but it had to be done at some point, so we did. We will miss you so much Cort!! Thanks for the fun times!

(apparently I took the pictures of us on the boat with Debbie's camera! Danget!)

Insomniac?

I don't really think I am an Insomniac, but I hate those nights when you can't fall asleep! I have done the stupidest things in hopes that I would fall asleep, but nothing! I added my profile on Msn spaces to talk to one of my sisters. I added a ton of friends on facebook! (actually I don't even like facebook, but it is the easiest way I know of to find people!) I have played with my dog, but even he fell asleep eventually! What do you do!? I can't eat anything because usually I get sick, I don't want to start a movie because I have heard if you fall asleep to the TV you have to much cautious in your life. I just finished reading breaking dawn, and my sis in law has it, and it's the only book I am in the mood to read at the moment so no to that! Now I am blogging....PRAYING that I will start to get sleepy!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

This weekend was awesome! We started off the weekend by going to the Martina McBride concert for my birthday! (Thanks Rich!) It was my first real concert and I loved it! She has been my favorite country singer since I was thirteen so it was fun. As soon as she said goodnight, Rich and I rushed to the truck so we could go stand in line for Breaking Dawn with Sherrie.
It turned out Sherrie wasn't going to come down until 12:30, so we went to visit Colette and Kyle. Rich and Kyle watched shark week, while Colette and I blog surfed. We decided to go look at a few stores to see what the lines were like. Walmart had alot, then we looked at B&N and there were over 1000 people waiting in line!! So we decided to try another, less busy Walmart, where we walked right up and got our books without any line! It was great! So we were out of there by 12:15 and I bought Sherrie's book for her so we didn't have to go wait somewhere else. I read from about 1:15 to 5:00 am, and decided I needed to go to bed.
An hour and a half later I had to wake up. Yep 1 1/2 hours of sleep. (If you know me, you know that is just begging for me to puke) It was Rich's family reunion for his dad's side. So I got some caffeine and ETTE. It was alot of fun. We got to visit alot, and I got to meet a few new people. When I got home again I read. (adrenaline rush?) Colette asked if I wanted to take a little brake and come shopping with her. We went to a couple of home deco stores. (thanks for saving me from the insanity!) Went home, and read. I did take a half hour nap with J-man though, so after that I was going on 2 hours of sleep.
Rich came over after shopping all afternoon with his dad for a car. We finally got one!! He got another ford focus, which we weren't looking for, but it was a huge blessing! We literally have not been able to afford hardly anything, and it has been really hard, but we were incredibly blessed to find this car, and get out of the truck. (and a nice little bonus from the dealership: a $250 gas card!) Later on, we went over to Henning and Alisha's and watched Dan in Real Life.
To top off our great weekend Rich was ordained an elder today. He asked my dad to ordain him, and of corse he did. It was beautiful. The tears were coming from everybody's eyes. The spirit was so strong. I am so grateful that I was able to witness this miracle, and that's exactly what it is. When I first met Rich he wasn't active and he didn't care anything about the church. Today I was a witness at just how far he has come. He is amazing, and I am so grateful for the things he does and how strong he is. Love you babe!

Rafting in the dark.....

Friday night, Cortney,Colton, Rich and I, went up to Silver Lake and went rafting. It was almost completely dark by the time we got on the lake. Usually I would discourage any such behaviour in the mountains at dark, but we had flashlights and there was a board walk trail from the parking lot and all around the lake, so you would have to be pretty dumb to wander off! So Cort and I were in one boat and Rich and Colt were in another. The boys totally ditched us even though there were bats flying around, not to mention it was pitch black outside! We finally caught up to the boys and we hooked the boats together. The guys were using the flashlights and looking in the water, but Cort and I were nervous the whole time so we opted to not to that! (I was especially nervous since a BAT flew next to my ear!) When we were leaving, Cortney and I quickly got out of the boats and went on our way, while the boys got the boats ready to go. Every few steps we would get really nervous (about bears) hold on to each other and run! It was fun!

Saturday Alisha called me, and asked me to go shopping with her and to go see Made of Honor. We had fun choosing a dress for her and went to a lot of stores. We hung out again on sunday with H & A and played Settler's of Cataan. I love game nights!

Monday night we had a family dinner at Copperton Park. We played tennis, soccer, and ultimate Frisbee, and then played on the play ground a little.

Yesterday I went over to Liz's house to visit. She made me cookies while I played with her cute kids. Then we walked over to her friends house, (to borrow some sugar) and had fun chatting with her! We had some cookies and lunch when we got back to her house (she made some yummy burritos). I had so much fun catching up! Thanks Liz!
(sorry this post was so late!)

Kisses and Hugs

Yesterday I went with Sherrie, the kids, and Misa (the wingate's foreign exchange student) to the parade. Rich and James had slept over night... more like stayed over night on the parade route so we would have a good spot! The parade was nice, not the biggest parade fan though, so I was happy to go home!
Ben wanted to ride home with Rich and I, so we put him in the middle of us in the truck. He was so funny, at one point I had said "oh my goodness" to something, and the rest of the way home he yelled "oh my goodness" to everything! Then he remembered my wrist was "broken", and the rest of the way he wanted to kiss the stitch on my finger, and my wrist and give me hugs.
When we got to my house we got to hear Misa play the piano and she was amazing! We were all in awe, except Sherrie who had already seen her play. Sherrie and I took her shopping after that, and I think she had a lot of fun!
After everything, I went home and Rich and I both took 3 hour long naps!!! We woke up, had dinner, and ran to henning's where we were having game night. Rich and I played Settler's of Cataan with H & A and Mom played ticket to ride in another group. I was holding Alisha's neice who is 5 and after her sitting on my lap for 45 minutes, she notices the bulky wrap on my hand. I told her what happened and then she too, gave my wrist "kisses" so it would feel better. :) A little while later Joseph came in from swimming, and wanted to give me hugs and LOTS of kisses! I loved it though because he is at the stage where everything I do is "NOT NICE ROSE!" It was a fun day, but I was glad to get home, take my wrist meds, and go to bed!

P.s Once again, Dont know what happened to comments sorry!

Removal of the Cyst

I won't be doing an actual post for a few days because yesterday I had a small surgery on my left wrist! It hasn't been too hard, my biggest complaint is I can hardly do anything without someone else to help. It's driving me crazy!

Mamma Mia!

Finally! This week went slow for me because I was so excited to see the movie! IT WAS AMAZING! We (at least my sisters and I) were singing the whole time! It was so much fun! I have to say there was a butt scene, and right when it happened we heard Sherrie yell "I knew it!" we all just laughed! Meryl Streep did amazing! There were also a few suprises in it that we did not expect, but I can't tell! Not only was it an awesome musical, but it was hilarious!
Then we went again, tonight with Colton and Cortney! :) It was fun, Cort and I loved it, Rich said he gave it 4 1/2 stars :) and Colton didn't like the boring parts, but he did sing along to Dancing Queen! It was really funny!
Then Claire texts me on the way home and tells me that, she is singing it at work. This movie is so addicting! I seriously love it!!!

Sorry about the lack of pics, we actually didn't take any!

Mamma Mia!.....NOT!

Last week Claire won tickets on the radio to go see Mamma Mia at an early showing for tonight. She then called me yesterday and says that she couldn't get work off, and offered me the tickets. At first I said "no", but then I realized I really wanted to go. So Sherrie invited me to go with her(Claire gave her the tickets). We drove down to SLC to get the Tickets at the KSL building, and had lunch. We got the tickets which were for 7 pm at the Gateway. So alittle before six we left for the Gateway tonight. We are all excited, and the woman tells us they are sold out. We show her our tickets, and she tells us it's limited seating! They were sold out an HOUR before! We were so mad! So we brainstormed at Rumbi, and decided to go to Fashion Place mall. It was fun, we looked at a bunch of stuff and sat in these awesome massage chairs for like 15 min! True Mamma Mia probably would have been more fun, but we did have a good time!

Payson Lake

This last week we went to Payson Lake with Sherrie's family, and Henning's Family. It was mine and Rich's first time camping together (separate tents of course!) It was fun though!
It wasn't a long drive, probably made shorter because it was gorgeous! It was so green, and quiet I loved it! When we got to the campsite, I learned that we didn't have a tent for the guys! It was a miscommunication on my part, I felt so bad! So the guys slept under an awning, and the girls and the babies slept in Sherrie's giant tent! My favorite part about both nights was the campfire! I love sitting around them and toasting my feet! At one point though Rich yells, "ROSE!" I jumped out of my chair yelled back "What!?" he then shows me my shoe is literally melting off! For those of you who have seen little women, you know how Jo always scorches her . dresses? That's me with shoes. ;) We had a lot of fun at the lake, especially Friday! Rich and I were in our Raft and then Henning, James, Emma, and the boys were in the Sherrie's raft. Well both Ben and Joseph started crying and freaking out in the middle of the lake. (Joseph just doesn't like water at the moment, and Ben was sick) So they went back to shore to drop them off, and Rich and I jumped in. I am always nervous about jumping in lakes. I always have a little panic attack, I hate that I can't see the bottom. This time though I tried really hard not to think of it and I had much more fun! Rich and I swam for a bit, and then got back in and met Henning and James. Then Henning proceeds to jump out of their raft, pretends to come say "hello", and tips our raft! Right after we were getting dry! It was fun though!

Me and Richard
Rich, Emma, and Me
Ben didn't feel very good so he just hung out in the big chair, and watched Word World

This is my new favorite picture of Ben! He looks so cute!

Aside from all the bug bites, It was a blast!

Crazy Weekend

This is going to be a really long post.... ready, set, go!

Wednesday night it was Rich's mom, Debbie's birthday, so we had a little family party. At around 7:30 Colton text Rich and asked if we could come over around 8. So we left a little early and went to Cortney's house. Before we left though Rich gave me one of the best birthday presents I have ever received! It was this picture frame with a few pictures of us, and then scattered between pictures, were all the ticket stubs of movies we have been to, including the first movie we saw! I loved it so much!

At Cortney's house, Cort and Colt suprised me with the Taylor Swift CD, and a gift card to Target, and best of all an awesome homemade card! It made me laugh so much! After that we went to get dinner at wendy's and back to Cort's. We watched Enchanted, (Colts punishment for losing a bet with Cort) and enevitably Richard fell asleep, as Cort and I sang and Colton looked like he was in hell. We left and went home to our seperate homes, or so I thought. Rich, Cortney, and Colton came to my house, waited an hour for me to turn off my bedroom light, and then chalked my sidewalks! I came out to many "happy birthday"s and "we love you"s. It was awesome and I love them to death!!

So July 3rd, 2008, I spent my birthday working for most of the day, which was fine in the beginning, but then I got really sick to my stomach. So I was incredibly ready to leave when my friend Krisha was willing to take my shift at five. Well we went to Rich's house right after I got off, and while he showered I snoozed on his bed with Gracie (well until his little brother woke me up and took her from me!) When Rich got out we got ready to go bowling for 50's night with Sherrie and James. We got to their house and walked in the door. The first thing I noticed was my poodle skirt (except with cherries) that my mom and Sherrie made. As I was looking at my skirt, I hear a big "SURPRISE!" and turned around to see my brothers and sisters, neices and nephews, and my mom and dad, all dressed in 50's attire! I was so excited! My first thought was "You're all coming bowling?!" and then it dawned on me the decorated house. So for my first surprise party, we had shakes, root beer floats, fries, burgers and hot dogs! It was so much fun! Everyone just kinda goofed around, played Croquet, and ate. Through out the night I learned what it took to make this party so great! All the boys weren't allowed to cut their hair for a month, so they could do it properly! The girls made their poodle skirts, and Sherrie borrowed all these old records from her friend, and hung them on the walls! After awhile we smashed open a pinata. (of an old record) This was the best birthday I have had yet! Thanks to all who made it so wonderful! (especially Rich and Sherrie!)

INDEPENDANCE DAY, we woke up early and went to the parade with Rich's family. It was fun to see all the people in the parade, and looked for people we knew. After the parade we went to Brent's parent's house for some swimming and food! It was alot of fun! Afterwords we played games at Claire and Brents for a bit. Rich and I needed to leave to go to his uncle Derek's house. We had some chips and salsa, and went swimming for about an hour and a half in their pool! We always have a great time with Rich's cousins, Uncle Derek, and Grandma Jolene! Later we watched the fireworks, and went home for some much needed sleep!!

Saturday Rich and I were invited by Chris (derek's son), and his girlfriend Holly, to go on wave runners with Holly's family. I had never been so I was alittle nervous. Holy cow, though! It was so much fun!! Holly's family was so nice and let us go on them several times! Holly and I rode on the tube together, and for some reason Holly always got thrown out! It was hilarious because I always ended up in the bottom of the tube!? We had a great time with them!

Walking the Dog?

This morning I took Gracie for her first walk with Colette and Leyton. We start walking down the street and she decided then would be the best time to go to the bathroom. (and it wasn't pee) well that wouldn't have been a big deal except I had to stop too, and right across the street there were 3 policemen just talking. Of course they all looked at me and I felt like an idiot! Well then Gracie decides she doesn't like walking too much, and when it was to the point where I was dragging her, we decided to try putting her in the stroller with Leyton! She like that much better, and for the majority of her "walk" she sat in the stroller!

SUPER Saturday!

So today was Super Saturday for my ward, and no words could better describe the rest of my day! I woke up early to be at the church at nine this morning. I had a couple cute projects I was going to do today that I was excited for, and I also signed up for a drink making class (virgin of course!). I have to say that the drink class was amazing!! There is this woman in my ward who is an amazing cook! I swear anything she touches is guaranteed to be awesome. So she put together a little class where she showed us how to make fun drinks for the summer. It was funny because she had called me the night before reminding me about it, and we had joked that with all the drinks she was going to serve the class we would be "sloshing". Well Rich heard this and was completely convinced that she meant to serve alcohol with these drinks. I told him over and over that it was for church, but he would not take it so I asked her today, jokingly, if there would be any alcohol. Of course she said no, and we all had a nice laugh. Cute Richard.
I needed to leave around noon because Cortney, Rich, and I were going to go watch Colton race down in Deer Valley. (around Park City for those who don't know) Cortney had asked Colt if we would be okay to wear flip flops and he said we would be fine. NOT TRUE!! We had to hike up this crazy steep hill, just to get to the place where we would sorta see him! So with Rich just sort of in his own world, Cort and I held on to each other for dear life and hiked up! Colton did awesome! It was so worth the hike to go see him race! On the way down, again Rich just in his own world way in front of us, Cortney and I started to go down. At one point I was holding on to her and there was like this dried up ditch, and I said I am going to jump. Cort didn't hear me in time, and it's a wonder we are still alive!

Rich and Colton in deep thought after the race
Rich, me, and Cort on top of this steep mountain! (it dosen't look steep, but whoa! it is!)
Cortney Blair Maples and Moi!

Cort and Colt

When we got home, we sorta laid around for awhile, and then decided to go see Love Guru, and get dinner. Dinner was great, movie was not! I knew it probably would have some bad stuff in it because hey look at the name of the show mixed with Mike Meyers. Seriously though I couldn't have been less impressed! Not only was it incredibly stupid, to the point where it was boring, but it was also way gross! Determined to not let that movie ruin our night we decided to rent a movie too! We rented Definitely, Maybe and it was cute. I don't know that I would buy the movie, but it was fun to watch!

Thanks Cortney and Colton for the unplanned fun day! We had a blast!

Sorry to everyone who commented, when I put the pictures on, it deleted the comments! Who knows?

The Summit

Tonight Rich and I started the weekend off by going to the first of many activities at the Summit. The Summit is a group of activities, service projects, and parties put on for the Young Adults. It was state wide, and it involved over 50 stakes! Tonight was a BBQ, games and then a Jericho Road concert. Rich and I didn't really care about the concert, so we went to Sherrie's after dinner.

James has been wanting to shake up our happy little bubble of killer bunnies, so tonight we appeased him and we played Ticket to Ride. Rich's aunt introduced him and me to this game, and we have been addicted ever since. (not quite as much as killer bunnies though!) We then brought it into my family, and (except Sherrie who I think still favors KB) it's everybody else's new favorite game. Henning and Alisha gave it to Rich and I for graduation, which we loved! Then Claire and Brent just bought it (they are in Seattle Wash.) I think Sherrie and James are buying it soon, and Henning and Alisha rented it from this place they found and where they bought mine. We are all game crazy! (Katherine just learned how to play killer bunnies so she is obsessed with playing that at the moment, and its funny because Spence calls it the Dead Bunny game with the queen) So back to tonight. We watched Just Friends, and pigged out on popcicles and "special Kool-aid", and play both games!

On a more serious note, I have to say, I am so grateful for my brothers and sisters. They are my very best friends, they are great examples to me, and give a never ending supply of love to both Rich and me. I don't know what I would do without them and all their "free advice" :) I love being older now (even though I am still and always will be way younger than them!) because we can have fun nights like this, and not only that, but I ALWAYS have someone to talk to, and I love them very much!

P.s. Sorry about the lack of picures. I haven't done them for awhile because of my stupid windows vista, and I actually meant to tonight, but I forgot!

Park

Tonight Rich and I went to an awesome park (well I thought it was when I was 10) with my parents and Emma. (she was spending the night) We went because Em wanted to show us some "tricks". So we decided to fore go institute, since its rare for my parents to drop everything and go do something like this. I felt kinda guilty for skipping, and no worries it won't be a habit, but I seriously had like the hardest day ever, (won't go into that) so it worked out well. Anyways, we went and saw Emma's tricks, which consisted of her climbing across the monkey bars, very cool. Then I begged Rich to do an underdog on the swing to me, I forgot how much fun it was! I loved it! It was fun to just play for one night. And not like go on a date play, but not worry about anything play. It was just what I needed, and afterwords my dad took us to Arctic Circle for some yummy treats!

Institute

Rich and I had our first Institute class tonight. We had it with a seminary teacher we have previously, and loved it. He was one of our favorite teachers ever so we were both very excited to have him be our teacher. It was funny because most of the other students knew him too so the class had some inside joke sharing time, and a ton of laughing.
It was similar to my old seminary class, minus the stupid comments, and stupid kids in general. The best thing about it though was that everyone was there because they chose to be. It wasn't a bunch of kids who were there because their parents making them go it was people going because they cared. I am really excited!

Gracie

So I haven't posted for a bit because I am having slight technical difficulties with my new laptop. Every time I go to upload a pic, it closes on me (unless I work really fast), saying there is an error, and closing Internet explorer! I am so frustrated! It could be Windows Vista though, I don't have any experience with it, and I haven't ever seen it happen on XP, if anyone is a Windows Vista expert, I would love some help!

Okay so now that my little rant is over, on to the good stuff. I am doing this post because it was requested by a few of you that I talk about a certain canine. A couple weeks ago, Rich and I got a puppy from my neighbors. She is a husky mixed with something else, basically a mutt, and she is adorable! She is such a sweetheart, and is a very mild dog. Which is a blessing since Leo is incredibly hiper! Her name is Gracie (and no sher for the final time I didn't steal that name from you!), and so far she has been fairly easy. Rich and I take her everywhere with us, and she has interacted well with everyone!

Castle Dale

For those of you who don't know Castle Dale (about a half hour from Price) is where my dad grew up and where most of his family still is. Well my parents invited Rich to come with us so he could meet everyone, I know my parents have changed alot from like a year ago!!! He did and it was alot of fun! On friday we went to the San Rafael, which personally isn't my cup of tea, but Rich loved it. We spent Friday night just relaxing. Saturday Morning we went over to my Uncle Louis's and went to some place in the desert that I don't remember. (also not my fav.) and then went back to Uncle Lou's house. We visited and then we left because we were going to see my aunt Marshan. I think Rich was the most nervous to go see her out of all my other relations. I have told him the most about her (probably because she calls every sunday night), and have told him what a goof she is. The first thing she does when we get to her house was try to talk Rich out of liking me, and offering him her 14 year old granddaughter. She was hilarious! That night we had a small family get together and watched fireworks. We got home probably 10:30 that night and Aunt Linda was wide awake as we were, so we made popcorn, and roasted marshmellows over her stove. After we had our treats in hand we went out to the living room and listened to her police radio. That night was my favorite night there, it was so much fun! Sunday morning we chatted for awhile and headed home!

Tribute to Sherrie

So today is Sherrie's birthday and in honor of her I am writing a post dedicated to her! Below are her favorite things, and for one week I will remove the dork sign next to her name! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!

Not in order of importance
