Castle of Chaos!

Our friends Lindsay and Devin, invited Rich and I to go to a haunted house with them this weekend. After changing our minds a couple times, we ended up going to "Castle of Chaos". It was way fun! They have three "events" you can chose from, and we decided to do all three. The first one was a 3-D haunted house, where even the actors had on 3-D make up. The second was Murder Mystery. On that one, you walk through rooms and try to find these cards to try and kill the Vampire Count. It was fun putting all of them together. Then the third was probably my favorite! It was another haunted house only it was different then any other one I have heard of before. They like lock you in a dark room and you touch the walls to try to find a door, and then someone screams, "Get on your knees!" So you have to crawl up this thing, and then you have to go threw this thing Devin called the Birth Canal. I have to other way to describe it other than that, it was crazy! I won't say anymore in case anyone ends up going to it, but it had lots of surprises! Then we went home and watched a scary movie. It was a fun night that got us in the mood for Halloween!

Cabin Fever

Rich and I went to my aunt Linda's cabin this weekend. It was kinda a last minute trip, but we had alot of fun! We planned on going for two nights, the first night at her house, and the second at the cabin. We had to leave SLC about 7, so it was pretty dark by the time we were going threw the canyon. We were between, Price and Castle Dale when we saw and almost hit 6 deer! They were just standing in the road, hanging out! Then a couple seconds after that we saw a group of about 15! Both of our stomachs dropped, and thank goodness we were almost there, because we drove so slow from there! Being in a small car, hitting a deer would have been bad news.

We chatted with Aunt Linda for a couple hours, and waited for my uncle Rick to be home from his poker night (usually home about 12). We went to bed about 12, and in the morning we found out that Rick had played till 2 am! Linda grounded him after that! ;)

We watched one of my cousin's son's play football, and shortly left for the cabin. It's about 30 minutes away, and by the time we got there I was dead tired, and I took a nap. I know I am lame! When I woke up Rich and I took a walk in the rain. Then we had dinner, ate WAY too much candy and watched a movie. Uncle Rick was tired and went to bed after the movie, wonder why? :) Linda stayed up and played KB with Rich and I. She hated it! It was so funny! She was just mad because I won! I went in the bathroom to get ready for bed, and when I came out aunt Linda was laying on her back on the ground. I asked her what she was doing, and she said, "ah just laying here." ha ha it ended up that she had tripped on one of the dog leashes, and she didn't want to get up. So she just chatted with us for awhile on the floor.

Today we taught Rich how to play Canasta. It was really fun. We lost track of time though and played from about 11 to 2. So we had to get going after that. We stopped in and chatted with my uncle Louis, and aunt Myra. Then it was like 5 by the time we left Price, so we really had to get going.

We had alot of fun hanging out with my dad's side of the family this weekend!

More Hiking

Yesterday Rich and I went hiking with one of my friends from work and her boyfriend, Lindsay, and Devin. We had planned on hiking Timp, but on the way to Devin's house they called and said that we had needed to get tickets earlier. So we decided to just go someplace kinda by Devin's house.
At first, there was a trail and uphill. It was harder than I expected, but not too bad. I thought, "I am in pretty good shape, I can handle it!" HA HA HA I could "handle" it, but it was really hard! After a little while, there was not even a trail. We hiked a few miles, my guess is about 5 of almost entirely steep up hill! I am really surprised now that I did it. I am kinda a whimp! We got to our turn around point and rested for a sec. (Standing up on a the side of the mountain. At least we were not moving!)
We turned around and then went the same way back... so steep DOWN hill hiking. We all slid a little down and Rich and Devin pretty much ran down, but Lindsay and I took it slow. When we got back to the car we had been gone almost 2 1/2 hours! It went by so fast! It was a lot of fun!

Busy Week....

This past week was..... interesting. School started for Rich and me. Rich is only taking one class so he wasn't as stressed as me I think. I was not looking forward to it at all. (I am taking 4 classes) Wednesday came around though, and it was great! I went to biology, and I am pretty sure I have a new hero! Her name is Kristen, and she is my professor. I have never met someone who I am so intrigued with! (that sounds weird, but she is fascinating!) I have to say I really have loved the college I have been exposed to. (yep the entire week of it!) I was expecting much worse, but all in all it was great!
Colette and I hung out a lot too this week, and Colette don't shoot me, but I can't even remember what we did except listen to Dr. Laura, at one point! (read on to find out why!) Oh and we had a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie party!
Okay so on to the craziness...
Rich was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth out on Friday. We were planning on having him rest on Friday, and then maybe going out to the lake for my work summer party Saturday. It did not happen. Rich went in for surgery, and when he woke up, Debbie and I went in to see him. He did not look very good. (It made me a little sick, which is weird because I am not very easily grossed out, especially in the oral heath field!) Well he wasn't feeling sick to his stomach or anything, so Dr. U signed him out and we put him in the wheel chair. Before he had even been sitting in the chair long, he passed out, and started throwing up blood. At first I was worried, but not freaking out. (mostly because it's not too uncommon, the passing out part I mean) Then Dr. U came in and was quite concerned about it. Saying he didn't know what was going on and that they needed to get a new IV in Rich. Then I really started getting worried. We sat him back down (awake by now) and he was given some really powerful drugs to keep him from throwing up anymore. Poor Rich. It broke my heart to see him this way. It took about 2 hours for him to get stable, and then we took him home. He was much more sick than I thought he would be, so I just stayed right next to him until like 10. Today he was doing much better, especially as the day progressed. But holy cow, did he scare me!!
Tonight we watched a movie with Matt and Jenna! It was fun to get to hang out with them, and to catch up! It seems like forever!! I can't remember the name of the movie, although Matt told me several times! It was good though! It's always fun to get together with your old high school buddies! :) I guess not that old... thanks Matt and Jen!

End Of Summer

This weekend Rich's family invited us to go boating with them to Flaming Gorge. We had to leave at like 7 on Friday night, so we didn't even get there until 10. It was a fun drive with Rich though. We got all settled, and went to bed. We all woke up to the sound of rain on the tent, and decided to go out on the lake anyways. So we loaded up all our warm clothes, blankets, and coats, and left camp. The water was actually pretty warm, but the air was freezing! Rich skied a bit (more like forever), and then I attempted to ski, again. I was much better than my last attempt, but my wrist that I had surgery on, like snapped so I stopped. Every one else was kinda bummed about the weather, but I have never been on a boat while its raining so I enjoyed it. Because of the weather Rich wanted to show me all the cool things to look at in the canyon, so we just drove around on the lake. (For those of you who haven't been here, it is the biggest lake I have ever seen in my life. It was huge!) Rich and I took a nap in the Cutty (not sure I spelt that right) but it's like the little cabin. Debbie came in at one point when we were sleeping and told us it was snowing! Then when we woke up it was warm and sunny. Talk about bipolar weather! We had a lot of fun though!

We said our "goodbye"s to Cort Thursday night. She is moving down to Provo, for school, so we decided to have a little fun. We went down first to Sherrie's to grab a kennel for Gracie. While we were there Emma made everyone name tags out of origami paper (mine was a frog), and gave Cortney and Colton "gifts". Ben put on the "gun show". :) He is such a cute kid! We left and went to a park to just play. After recess was over Rich and I grabbed some food from Taco Bell, and we went to Colton's. We didn't really want to say goodbye, but it had to be done at some point, so we did. We will miss you so much Cort!! Thanks for the fun times!

(apparently I took the pictures of us on the boat with Debbie's camera! Danget!)

Insomniac?

I don't really think I am an Insomniac, but I hate those nights when you can't fall asleep! I have done the stupidest things in hopes that I would fall asleep, but nothing! I added my profile on Msn spaces to talk to one of my sisters. I added a ton of friends on facebook! (actually I don't even like facebook, but it is the easiest way I know of to find people!) I have played with my dog, but even he fell asleep eventually! What do you do!? I can't eat anything because usually I get sick, I don't want to start a movie because I have heard if you fall asleep to the TV you have to much cautious in your life. I just finished reading breaking dawn, and my sis in law has it, and it's the only book I am in the mood to read at the moment so no to that! Now I am blogging....PRAYING that I will start to get sleepy!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

This weekend was awesome! We started off the weekend by going to the Martina McBride concert for my birthday! (Thanks Rich!) It was my first real concert and I loved it! She has been my favorite country singer since I was thirteen so it was fun. As soon as she said goodnight, Rich and I rushed to the truck so we could go stand in line for Breaking Dawn with Sherrie.
It turned out Sherrie wasn't going to come down until 12:30, so we went to visit Colette and Kyle. Rich and Kyle watched shark week, while Colette and I blog surfed. We decided to go look at a few stores to see what the lines were like. Walmart had alot, then we looked at B&N and there were over 1000 people waiting in line!! So we decided to try another, less busy Walmart, where we walked right up and got our books without any line! It was great! So we were out of there by 12:15 and I bought Sherrie's book for her so we didn't have to go wait somewhere else. I read from about 1:15 to 5:00 am, and decided I needed to go to bed.
An hour and a half later I had to wake up. Yep 1 1/2 hours of sleep. (If you know me, you know that is just begging for me to puke) It was Rich's family reunion for his dad's side. So I got some caffeine and ETTE. It was alot of fun. We got to visit alot, and I got to meet a few new people. When I got home again I read. (adrenaline rush?) Colette asked if I wanted to take a little brake and come shopping with her. We went to a couple of home deco stores. (thanks for saving me from the insanity!) Went home, and read. I did take a half hour nap with J-man though, so after that I was going on 2 hours of sleep.
Rich came over after shopping all afternoon with his dad for a car. We finally got one!! He got another ford focus, which we weren't looking for, but it was a huge blessing! We literally have not been able to afford hardly anything, and it has been really hard, but we were incredibly blessed to find this car, and get out of the truck. (and a nice little bonus from the dealership: a $250 gas card!) Later on, we went over to Henning and Alisha's and watched Dan in Real Life.
To top off our great weekend Rich was ordained an elder today. He asked my dad to ordain him, and of corse he did. It was beautiful. The tears were coming from everybody's eyes. The spirit was so strong. I am so grateful that I was able to witness this miracle, and that's exactly what it is. When I first met Rich he wasn't active and he didn't care anything about the church. Today I was a witness at just how far he has come. He is amazing, and I am so grateful for the things he does and how strong he is. Love you babe!

Rafting in the dark.....

Friday night, Cortney,Colton, Rich and I, went up to Silver Lake and went rafting. It was almost completely dark by the time we got on the lake. Usually I would discourage any such behaviour in the mountains at dark, but we had flashlights and there was a board walk trail from the parking lot and all around the lake, so you would have to be pretty dumb to wander off! So Cort and I were in one boat and Rich and Colt were in another. The boys totally ditched us even though there were bats flying around, not to mention it was pitch black outside! We finally caught up to the boys and we hooked the boats together. The guys were using the flashlights and looking in the water, but Cort and I were nervous the whole time so we opted to not to that! (I was especially nervous since a BAT flew next to my ear!) When we were leaving, Cortney and I quickly got out of the boats and went on our way, while the boys got the boats ready to go. Every few steps we would get really nervous (about bears) hold on to each other and run! It was fun!

Saturday Alisha called me, and asked me to go shopping with her and to go see Made of Honor. We had fun choosing a dress for her and went to a lot of stores. We hung out again on sunday with H & A and played Settler's of Cataan. I love game nights!

Monday night we had a family dinner at Copperton Park. We played tennis, soccer, and ultimate Frisbee, and then played on the play ground a little.

Yesterday I went over to Liz's house to visit. She made me cookies while I played with her cute kids. Then we walked over to her friends house, (to borrow some sugar) and had fun chatting with her! We had some cookies and lunch when we got back to her house (she made some yummy burritos). I had so much fun catching up! Thanks Liz!
(sorry this post was so late!)

Kisses and Hugs

Yesterday I went with Sherrie, the kids, and Misa (the wingate's foreign exchange student) to the parade. Rich and James had slept over night... more like stayed over night on the parade route so we would have a good spot! The parade was nice, not the biggest parade fan though, so I was happy to go home!
Ben wanted to ride home with Rich and I, so we put him in the middle of us in the truck. He was so funny, at one point I had said "oh my goodness" to something, and the rest of the way home he yelled "oh my goodness" to everything! Then he remembered my wrist was "broken", and the rest of the way he wanted to kiss the stitch on my finger, and my wrist and give me hugs.
When we got to my house we got to hear Misa play the piano and she was amazing! We were all in awe, except Sherrie who had already seen her play. Sherrie and I took her shopping after that, and I think she had a lot of fun!
After everything, I went home and Rich and I both took 3 hour long naps!!! We woke up, had dinner, and ran to henning's where we were having game night. Rich and I played Settler's of Cataan with H & A and Mom played ticket to ride in another group. I was holding Alisha's neice who is 5 and after her sitting on my lap for 45 minutes, she notices the bulky wrap on my hand. I told her what happened and then she too, gave my wrist "kisses" so it would feel better. :) A little while later Joseph came in from swimming, and wanted to give me hugs and LOTS of kisses! I loved it though because he is at the stage where everything I do is "NOT NICE ROSE!" It was a fun day, but I was glad to get home, take my wrist meds, and go to bed!

P.s Once again, Dont know what happened to comments sorry!

Removal of the Cyst

I won't be doing an actual post for a few days because yesterday I had a small surgery on my left wrist! It hasn't been too hard, my biggest complaint is I can hardly do anything without someone else to help. It's driving me crazy!
